Brass is a kind of alloy made of copper and zinc. Brass, made of copper and zinc, is commonly called market brass. When zinc content is less than 35 percent,  zinc can be dissolved into copper, forming single phase a which called single phase brass. Such brass is flexible well and suitable for cold-hot pressure processing.
  When zinc content reaches 36-46 percent, β solid solution, consisting of a single phase brass and copper and zinc, called double phase brass.  β phase makes the brass less flexible in plasticity and its tensile strength more stronger. It makes better for hot pressure processing. If mass fraction of zinc continued to be increased, the tensile strength drops, providing use of no value
  Mark represents in form of H+number in which H represents brass while number mass fraction. For example, H68 represents 68% of brass content with 32%of zinc content. Z+mark refers to casting brass, like ZH62.  Zcuzn38 represents 38%of zinc content with 62% of copper content. H90 and H80 are single phase brass in golden color which called clad layer. H68 and H59 are double phase which is widely used in component in electric appliance such as bolt, nut, gasket and spring. Besides copper and zinc content, brass, added with other metal content, called special brass.
